Quick answer
Paripesa appears first in the Betbook Table, followed by 22Bet and BC.Game. This is our placement order, which can be influenced by commission, rather than a measured ranking of odds or withdrawal speed. Choose by the terms, account eligibility and payment route that fit your needs.
Buying guide
Most Nigerian betting sites look alike on the surface: a welcome bonus, a football-heavy sportsbook and a mobile site. The differences that matter show up after you deposit. These are the six things worth comparing, and checking yourself.
The margin is the bookmaker’s cut, built into every price. A lower margin gives you more back on every winning bet, all season.
Check how winnings reach you: a bank account, a wallet or a crypto address. Outstanding verification can delay approval.
Check the actual cashier for your account: naira routes, supported coins and withdrawal options can overlap. A displayed currency is not proof that a payment method is available.
Compare supported coins and networksSports betting sites are used on phones, often on a weak connection. A page that loads fast on little data matters more than a slick design.
Wagering, minimum odds and expiry decide whether a welcome bonus can realistically become money you can withdraw.
Betting companies in Nigeria are licensed by state regulators. International sites run on offshore licences instead, outside Nigerian oversight. Check which one applies before you deposit.
No single site suits every need. Use the category breakdown as an editorial comparison, then read the offer and account conditions behind your shortlist.

Your shortlist
For a punter in Nigeria, a useful shortlist starts with money already set aside for entertainment, after food, transport, rent and data. Suppose that amount is ₦2,000. This is an illustration, not a suggested budget: compare each site against that limit before a bonus advert changes your plans.
If the cashier accepts ₦500, that does not make four deposits a plan. Keep the same total limit across all your betting accounts; a lower minimum is useful only if it lets you stay within it.
An offer requiring a ₦5,000 deposit does not fit this ₦2,000 example. Compare the ordinary account without the bonus instead of increasing your budget to qualify.
Before paying in, find the minimum withdrawal, any fees and the account-name requirements for your chosen route. A small deposit minimum does not tell you how easily a remaining balance can be withdrawn.
Find deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in the account settings or ask support where they are. If the available controls do not meet your needs, leave the site off your shortlist.
The amounts above are hypothetical, not any operator’s offer or cashier limits. Use the main table to shortlist sites, then open a published review for the documented terms and any missing information.
Bonuses
An advertised match, free bet or acca boost is a different kind of offer, with its own qualifying rules. These cards are a starting point: check the required deposit, eligible selections and deadline before opting in. The dedicated bonus pages compare each offer type in detail.

Football
If your weekend slip mixes Premier League fixtures with an NPFL match, check that both are listed before choosing a bookie. Compare the same market: GG and over 2.5 are different bets, and a 90-minute result is not the same as a team qualifying. A saved booking code is a shortcut to selections, not a promise of the same price.
Competitions to look for

Read the selection and settlement period, even when the teams look right. A match result, first-half result and qualification market settle differently.
Check the odds again on the confirmation receipt. A price seen earlier may have moved, especially on an in-play selection.
After loading a booking code, review each selection and the total stake. Remove anything you do not understand before deciding whether to submit it.
Payments
Being able to deposit with a method does not confirm that you can withdraw through it. Use the recorded options below as a starting point, then check the cashier for your Nigerian account: minimums, charges, account-name rules and available withdrawal routes. Missing information is not proof that a method is unavailable.

Larger deposits and withdrawals
Send money from your banking app to the account number the betting site gives you. It is also the standard route for getting winnings out.

A quick first deposit
Pay with the debit card you already carry. Your bank confirms the payment with a one-time password before the money leaves.

Small, frequent deposits
Pay straight from your OPay wallet balance. Handy if that is where your day-to-day spending money already sits.
Accepted at
Wallet deposits on your phone
Works the same way as OPay: approve the payment in the PalmPay app and the deposit shows in your betting account.
Accepted at
Deposits from a Bitcoin wallet
Send BTC from your own wallet to the deposit address the site shows. The network sets the fee, and a transfer needs confirmations before it counts.
Accepted at
A balance held in a dollar stablecoin
A stablecoin priced against the US dollar. It runs on more than one network, so match the network the site names: coins sent on another one are usually lost.
Accepted at
Paying from an Ethereum wallet
Send ETH to the site’s deposit address. Fees rise when the network is busy, so check the cost before you send a small amount.

We give bookmakers in Nigeria editorial scores out of 10 on six criteria. The overall is the weighted average of the criteria that apply; a casino without a sportsbook has no odds score. Odds and payouts have the largest weights. These are editorial judgements based on the documented offering, not measured prices, timed withdrawals or device benchmarks.
Betbook earns commission from the betting sites it lists. That affects which sites are covered and can affect where they appear in the table. Scores are Betbook’s editorial assessment against the published criteria.
Read the full rating methodAn editorial opinion about the sportsbook offering, not a measured odds-margin benchmark. Compare the same market at the same time.
An editorial assessment of published withdrawal information, not a timed payment test or guaranteed processing speed.
The size of the welcome offer weighed against wagering, minimum odds and time limits.
An editorial view of the mobile offering, not a measured app speed or data-use test.
Depth of markets, in-play coverage, cash out and streaming, and the range of casino games.
Naira deposits and local methods count most; crypto options, minimum deposit and support are weighed too.
Getting started
Keep these Six checks in mind after narrowing your shortlist. Use your own details, read the terms and set your limit before deciding whether to fund an account.

Use the table to choose a site that fits how you bet. Decide first whether you want to pay in naira or in crypto.
Open an account with your phone number or email and a password. Use your real name, exactly as it appears on your bank account.
Confirm your contact details, then add your ID when asked. Doing it now avoids a delay on your first withdrawal.
At a naira site, pay in by bank transfer, card, USSD or a wallet such as OPay. At a crypto site, send coins to the deposit address, on the network it names.
Opt in or enter the promo code if one is needed. Read the wagering, minimum odds and expiry before you accept.
Add selections to the bet slip, enter your stake and confirm. Start small while you learn how the site works.
Law and licensing
Yes. Betting on sports is legal in Nigeria for adults aged 18 and over, and bookmakers operate under gaming licences.
Who issues those licences changed in November 2024. The Supreme Court struck down the National Lottery Act 2005 as it applied to the states, holding that lotteries and gaming are matters for state governments. The remit of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission is now effectively limited to the Federal Capital Territory.
In practice, betting companies in Nigeria are licensed state by state, by bodies such as the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority. The rules are still settling, so before you deposit, look in the footer of the site for the regulator it names.
The Licence column of the at-a-glance table shows the licence Betbook lists for a site, and each review repeats it. Whatever the table says, check the footer of the site you choose.

18 and over only
You must be 18 or older to open a betting account. Expect to be asked for ID before a withdrawal.

The Betbook Table compares the sites covered here; it is not a list of every bookmaker available in Nigeria. The right choice depends on your account eligibility, payment route and the terms you can accept. Placement can be influenced by commission, and scores are editorial opinions rather than a guarantee of service or returns.
No independently timed comparison establishes a fastest operator here. Approval, identity checks and the bank or blockchain can each affect the wait. Scores are editorial opinions, not measured withdrawal times; inspect the conditions for your actual route.
The welcome offers of the sites in the Betbook Table are in the bonuses section of this page, each in the currency the operator pays it in. Check the wagering, minimum odds and expiry before you accept, because those decide what a bonus is worth.
It depends on the site. Each row of the Betbook Table shows the minimum deposit where the operator states one, in naira for the naira sportsbooks. A welcome bonus can need a bigger first deposit than the site minimum, so read the offer terms.
Yes, betting is legal in Nigeria for adults aged 18 and over. Betting sites operate under gaming licences, and since a Supreme Court judgment in November 2024 licensing is largely a matter for state regulators such as the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority.
Yes, at the sites that accept it: the payments section of this page shows which sites take OPay, PalmPay and USSD. You approve the payment in the wallet app and the money shows in your betting account.
The crypto section of this page shows the sites in the Betbook Table that take crypto deposits, with the coins each one accepts. Crypto support does not determine where an operator is licensed. Check its company, domain and relevant licence before depositing.
The crypto sites in the Betbook Table accept coins such as Bitcoin and USDT; the crypto section shows which. You send coins from your own wallet to the deposit address the site shows, on the network it names. The balance stays in crypto, so its value in naira moves with the market until you withdraw.
Tax rules on betting winnings in Nigeria are changing, so check current guidance from the tax authority before you rely on any figure. If a deduction applies, the betting site shows it when you withdraw. We do not print rates here because they may be out of date.
A wagering requirement is the number of times you must bet a bonus before you can withdraw it. With 5x wagering on a ₦10,000 bonus, you place ₦50,000 of qualifying bets. Minimum odds and a time limit apply as well.
You need to be 18 or older, with a phone number or email and a bank account, wallet or crypto wallet of your own. Betting sites ask for a government-issued photo ID before they pay out, so register with your name exactly as your bank has it.
Open the withdrawal page in your account, choose your bank account, wallet or crypto address and enter the amount. At a naira site the name on the betting account has to match the bank account. Winnings from a bonus can be withdrawn only once the wagering requirement is met.
Betting should cost you no more than a night out. If it stops being fun, stop.
Set a deposit limit in your account before your first bet. Decide what you can afford to lose and do not top it up.
Self-exclusion locks your account for a period you choose. Ask the betting site’s support team or look in your account settings.
Chasing losses, borrowing to bet or hiding your betting from family are signs to stop and talk to someone.
Gamble Alert is a Nigerian non-profit that supports people affected by gambling.

The short version
Use the table to narrow your choice, then read the account terms behind the entries you are considering. A suitable payment route, clear withdrawal conditions and limits you can stick to matter more than a headline offer. If those details are missing or do not suit you, there is no need to open an account.
Type a site, a payment method or a topic, for example "USSD" or "Bitcoin".
