By Updated Advertiser disclosure

Melbet’s name appears on both a Nigerian service and a global sportsbook. That distinction matters before the first deposit: the contracting company, promotion and payment choices can differ. A large welcome headline tells you little about whether your usual football selections will qualify. This review focuses on the published global conditions and the Nigerian register entry, with their limits made explicit.

Verdict

The fit depends on the markets you normally use

Melbet deserves a close read if you already understand accumulator betting and want to compare the actual qualifying markets. Its global sports promotion excludes totals and handicaps, two familiar ways to build a football slip. A punter who usually backs over 2.5 goals should assess the account without assigning value to a bonus that excludes that selection.

Best for

Adults who want to inspect detailed sports promotion rules before deciding whether to opt in.

Think twice if

You mainly bet on totals or handicaps, or need a confirmed Nigerian bank withdrawal route before opening an account.

What we like

  • Published rules identify excluded bonus markets
  • Sports and casino sections have separate promotion choices
  • Public account terms explain additional identity checks

Think twice if

  • Totals and handicap bets do not count for the global sports offer
  • Global terms are not proof of a Nigerian cashier or local entitlement

Score breakdown

Melbet: the six editorial scores explained

These six scores are Betbook’s editorial assessment of the public information linked in this review. They are not measured odds, withdrawal or app-performance results. Unresolved Nigerian account details limit confidence in the assessment; they do not prove that a feature is unavailable.

  1. Odds and margins

    7.0 out of 10

The published sportsbook spans several sports and has pre-match and in-play sections. That supports a useful range of price comparisons. This 7/10 is an editorial view of the offering; no matched-market margin sample establishes better odds than a rival.

Joint rank 121.1 below the average of 8.120% weight

  2. Payout speed

    5.5 out of 10

Global guidance explains verification and method-dependent processing ranges. Different published examples do not establish one dependable Nigerian withdrawal time. The 5.5/10 assessment reflects the usefulness and limits of that guidance, not a timed withdrawal result.

Rank 132.3 below the average of 7.820% weight

  3. Bonuses and terms

    6.0 out of 10

The global sports rules describe 5x bonus turnover, eligible accumulator legs and exclusions. Totals and handicaps do not qualify. Naira advertising and global conditions are not a complete account-specific offer, which limits the value we can assign to the headline.

Rank 131.4 below the average of 7.415% weight

  4. Mobile experience

    6.5 out of 10

Android and iOS download routes and mobile account guidance are publicly available. This assessment recognises those access options. Nigerian store availability, device compatibility, battery use and app speed have not been tested first-hand.

Joint rank 131.1 below the average of 7.615% weight

  5. Markets, live betting and games

    7.5 out of 10

The global product includes live sports, casino categories and a cash-out feature. This earns credit for product range. Streaming is not established in this review, and cash out remains subject to the market and accepted bet.

Joint rank 110.7 below the average of 8.215% weight

  6. Payments for Nigerian players

    5.0 out of 10

Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT options are published, alongside account-ownership and withdrawal-route guidance. Nigerian naira rails, method limits and fees remain account-specific. The modest score reflects limited evidence of local suitability, not a claim that local methods are absent.

Joint rank 131.7 below the average of 6.715% weight

Bonus

The global sports offer and its exclusions

Melbet’s own promotion guide advertises a sports welcome cap of ₦320,000. It separately quotes $100–$200 for dollar offers, depending on country. Those are published currency-specific headlines, not a conversion or a confirmed award for every Nigerian registration. Check the match percentage, minimum deposit and cap together in the actual offer presented to your account.

The global sports conditions specify a 100% match with 5x bonus turnover. Accas need three or more selections, including three at 1.40 or higher. Totals, handicaps and refunded bets are excluded, and the 30-day deadline starts at registration. Profile completion, phone activation and advance bonus opt-in are required.

The publicly accessible global page displayed an Indonesian-rupiah offer during our check, while the Nigerian page could not be inspected past its security screen. We therefore do not combine the guide’s naira cap with the global percentage to calculate a supposed Nigerian award. The separate casino package below is another headline in the operator guide, with account-specific rules to inspect.

Qualifying markets

Why an over-goals leg can change the whole decision

Imagine a normal Saturday slip containing a match winner, over 2.5 goals and a handicap. Even if all three decimal prices exceed 1.40, the global bonus rules exclude two of those market types. Meeting an odds threshold alone is not enough.

The useful comparison is between your intended bets and the eligible-bet definition. Do not add unfamiliar selections merely to manufacture a qualifying acca. Without a bonus, a shorter slip may fit your plan better; every extra leg adds another outcome that has to succeed.

If a leg is voided, the operator also removes it when counting the selections in a winning accumulator for bonus purposes. Save the original slip and its final settlement so you can explain a turnover discrepancy without guessing.

Bonus deadline

Registration starts the countdown

A deadline beginning at registration differs from one beginning at the first deposit. Registering a week before deciding to fund the account leaves a shorter period for any qualifying bets to finish. Record the expiry shown in your profile and compare it with the scheduled settlement of the events you intend to back.

The global first-deposit terms limit the amount transferred from the remaining bonus balance after wagering to the initial bonus amount. Completing turnover does not mean every displayed bonus-balance figure becomes withdrawable cash. Early withdrawal or rejecting an active offer can also forfeit bonus winnings. Read those consequences before accepting, rather than waiting until a cash-out request.

Melbet deposits and withdrawals

Deposits and withdrawals

Check the cashier and identity process separately

The global service displays Bitcoin, Ethereum and multiple USDT networks. Those logos do not establish Nigerian bank, OPay or PalmPay availability. Melbet’s payment guide says available methods depend on country and are shown in the account.

That guide publishes a general $1 minimum withdrawal and $60,000 upper limit, while expressly warning that each payment route has its own limits. They are global reference figures, not confirmed Nigerian cashier limits. Withdrawals should return through the deposit method; funding through several routes may require proportional withdrawals. Use payment accounts in your own name.

The guide’s broad processing ranges include 15 minutes to 24 hours for e-wallets and 1–7 business days for cards, but it also describes faster cases for previously verified accounts. These estimates are not interchangeable and do not establish a single Melbet payout time.

The account terms permit additional identity checks, including a video conference in specified circumstances. A successful deposit does not establish withdrawal approval; keep payment records and use authenticated support for documents.

Company and licence

Two operating identities need separate checks

The Lagos register names Otrada Hospitality Limited for Melbet, but the entry inspected on 3 October 2026 starts on 2 December 2026 and ends on 2 December 2027. That future start date cannot establish current coverage. Ask the regulator or operator to resolve the date before relying on it.

Separately, melbet.com identifies Pelican Entertainment B.V., company 134359, and states Curaçao licence OGL/2024/561/0554. That is the global operator’s statement, not independent confirmation of a Nigerian licence. Read the legal entity on the exact account you are offered; a shared brand does not make two contracts interchangeable.

Mobile account

Keep account access separate from the download

The global site links to Android and iOS options. An installation link does not establish availability in the Nigerian App Store or compatibility with a particular handset. Start at the operator’s website, inspect the destination and publisher, and use the mobile browser if the genuine app is unavailable.

Before match time, check the account currency, the displayed time zone and the bet-slip confirmation settings. Convert kick-off times to WAT when necessary. A saved slip is only a set of selections; it is not an accepted bet until the account confirms acceptance. Do not send your login or one-time code to someone offering to register or verify the account for you.

FAQ

Questions about Melbet eligibility and account checks

Can an over 2.5 goals bet clear the Melbet global sports bonus?

The global first-deposit conditions exclude total bets from the wagering requirement. An eligible price alone does not make a totals selection count.

Does the Lagos Melbet entry prove a current licence?

The entry inspected on 3 October 2026 has a future start date of 2 December 2026. It needs clarification before being relied on for current coverage; the global Curaçao statement is a separate matter.

Is the advertised ₦320,000 cap a confirmed Melbet Nigeria award?

It is a naira headline published in Melbet’s own guide. The match, minimum, eligibility and conditions must still be confirmed together in the account offer. The global dollar range varies by country and is not a naira conversion.

Will a crypto deposit avoid identity verification?

No. A cryptocurrency transfer does not remove the operator’s account verification requirements.

The bottom line

Decide whether the conditions fit your budget

Decide on the account and payment route first, then inspect whether the bonus suits the bets you already intended to place. If the company details, local availability or withdrawal method are unclear, resolve those points before depositing. Adults 18+ only; set a firm spending limit.
