Floodlights fail, the pitch floods or the visiting team never lands. A postponed or abandoned match leaves the slip open while the bookmaker waits for the organiser. What it does next is written in its rules, and the clock in those rules starts at the original kick-off.
What happens to a bet when a match is postponed?
Both 22Bet and Melbet void every pre-match bet when a match is postponed by more than 48 hours. Both call that figure approximate and keep the right to let bets stand. At 22Bet a fixture counts as postponed once its official start time is changed.
BetFury splits the wait in two. If the organiser gives no new time within 12 hours of the scheduled start, bets are void. If a new time comes inside 12 hours and the match starts inside 48, bets stand. Gamdom also works to 48 hours from the original start.

What happens when a match is abandoned?
When a match is abandoned, markets that were already decided are settled and the rest are refunded. The examples of decided outcomes at 22Bet are first-half bets and the first goal with its time. Every other bet is settled at odds of 1, which returns the stake.
BetFury uses the same test and calls it “unconditionally determined”. Over 2.5 goals is a winner if three goals were in before the stoppage, whatever happens later. Under 2.5 in a match stopped at 1-0 is void, because play could still have changed it.
The football rules at 22Bet add a minute mark: at least 80 minutes must be played for bets to stand. Its live rule gives an interrupted match 5 hours from the start to resume. After that, undecided bets go back at odds of 1.
Does a void leg lose an accumulator?
A void leg does not lose an accumulator. Cancelled legs are taken out of an accumulator or system bet at 22Bet, and Stake settles a voided leg at odds of 1. The slip carries on with the legs that are left.
Worked example
₦800 treble with one postponed match

The acca still needs both remaining legs. One loser and the slip is lost.
Boosts and bonuses have their own conditions. A void leg can take a slip below the number of legs an offer asks for, so read the offer rules before you count on the extra.
Is an awarded 3-0 result used for bets?
An awarded 3-0 result is not used for bets at 22Bet. If a result is revised later and one side forfeits, its rules pay on the actual result declared straight after the event. A team that never turns up for a regional fixture means every bet goes back at odds of 1.
BetFury settles an interrupted match under its interruption rule even if the governing body later validates the score. A match is not treated as moved or cancelled at 22Bet until the organiser’s documents, a federation site or a club site says so.
For any postponed or abandoned match, keep the bet ID and the organiser’s announcement, and note times in WAT. Complaints about results are taken at 22Bet for ten days after the event.
